Pastor Jermaine R. Hampton, Sr. for much of his life has been a trailblazer in the Gospel Ministry. As a young musician gifted in several instruments of the church, he has served as Minister of Music for many churches and ministries. Pastor Hampton has served as:
· Pastor & Founder of Abundant Life Cathedral in Atlanta, GA formerly of New Orleans, LA, (relocated
after Hurricane Katrina)
· Board Vice Chairman, Gert-Town Revival Initiative (managed more than $1,000,000 for Community Development)
· Founder & Host: Inter-Faith Fellowship Assemblies Conference in New Orleans, LA
· Overseer: Abundant Faith Tabernacle Ministry in St. Louis, MO
· Ecclesiastical Co-Chair of Triumph-The Overcoming Churches In Christ (Bishop Claudell Hampton, Senior Bishop)
·Administrative Assistant, Commissioner of Jurisdictional Meetings
·Superintendent of the Atlanta-Metro District for the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Northern Georgia. (Bishop Adrian Williams, Prelate)
These are just a few of his noteworthy accomplishments in God\'s Ministry. Pastor Hampton has helped many ministries through organizational development assistance, Licensor, Ordinations and Installation of church leaders. He has led Evangelistic Crusades and initiated many programs within existing ministries throughout Greater New Orleans and across the country. His spiritual advice and wise counsel are sought by the young and seasoned alike.
He has attended the Annual Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops Congress, His Eminence, Archbishop J. Delano Ellis, II is President and Establishmentarian. He has matriculated in New Orleans Public Schools, Greater St. Stephen Bible College, Triumph Ministerial Training Institute, School of Urban Missions, Delgado Community College, Greater New Orleans School of Ministry, and Christian Bible College & Seminary. Pastor Hampton holds a Bachelors of Theology in Pastoral Ministry and is presently enrolled in Andersonville Baptist Seminary earning a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership while simultaneously earning a Business Degree from Tulane School of Continuing Studies.
Pastor Hampton is married to an anointed and wonderful wife, Charmaine Evette Jackson and they are the proud parents of a blended family of four beautiful children, Janet\', Jazlyn, Jermaine, Jr., and Ja’Da (The Miracle Baby). Pastor Hampton has a rich legacy of spiritual leadership that extends back to three generations of Bishops and Gospel Ministers.
On May 2, 1997, Pastor Hampton was consecrated a Bishop by his father, Bishop Claudell Hampton. This elevation placed Pastor Hampton in automatic succession to become the Leader of a reformation established by his grandfather, the late Bishop Louis R. Hampton, Sr. He also became the Chief Overseer of Inter-Faith Fellowship Assemblies, an interdenominational fellowship of churches. Pastor Hampton took the title Apostle in the same ceremony. In 2009, Pastor Hampton made a decision of humility that is unheard of among church leaders that would change the course of his life and ministry. He relinquished the title of Apostle and relocated back to New Orleans from Atlanta, GA, to faithfully serve the Late Bishop Lindell Benford Brown at Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ as an Elder.
On January 7, 2011, Elder Hampton was selected to serve as Pastor of the Historic Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ succeeding Bishop Lindell Brown, Bishop Richard “Mr. Clean” White and Founder Bishop Claiborne Jones. Many desire greatness, but few are willing to deny themselves for the Gospel sake. Pastor Hampton’s life epitomizes greatness as a change agent for Christ.
